Fund Accountant Open ended, Private Credit

Our client is one of Europe's leading credit providers, managing and advising on more than $17 billion of capital.

About the role

The Fund Accountant will be responsible for the accounting and reporting of open-ended funds, preparing all deliverables for review by the Fund Controller and Group Finance Manager. Over time, the Fund Accountant will become a primary point of contact for back and middle office colleagues, as well as external LPs.

• Quarterly and annual fund accounting for Luxembourg-based open-ended funds, including reconciliation of general ledgers, preparation of Fund financial statements, and preparation of Capital Account statements for individual investors
• Processing investor subscriptions and redemptions, including calculation of dealing prices and investor allocations
• Preparation of investor reporting packs, including NAV statements, performance metrics, and transaction summaries
• Regulatory reporting, including AIFMD, FATCA, CRS, and other jurisdictional requirements relevant to open-ended structures
• Preparation of Drawdown / Distribution calculations and notices for external investors, monitoring cash & liquidity alongside middle office colleagues
• Key role in year-end Audit, preparing deliverables for Auditors and managing internal timelines
• Regulatory reporting, including AIFMD and other jurisdictional requirements relevant to open-ended structures
• Limited Partner Requests - preparation of regular and ad hoc requests, liaising with the Investor Relations team to provide information to external investors
• Involvement with third party providers where relevant, for example outsourcing elements of the fund accounting function and ad hoc project work
• Training - developing an understanding of open-ended fund structures, software and processes
• Process Improvement - Streamlining and improving our reporting processes and documenting procedures

The ideal candidate would need to be

• A strong team player, flexible, highly motivated and have good attention to detail
• ACA or ACCA-qualified
